BUSINESS TERMS AND CONDITIONS
IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION - ALL GOODS OFFERED FOR SALE ON THIS SITE ARE FOR COMMERCIAL USE. AS SUCH ALL SALES ARE ASSUMED TO BE ON A BUSINESS TO BUSINESS BASIS AND ARE DEEMED TO BE OUTSIDE OF THE SCOPE OF THE CONSUMER PROTECTION (DISTANCE SELLING) REGULATIONS 2000. CONDITIONS OF GUARANTEE
1.1 This guarantee by Hanson Instruments Ltd is valid only in the country of sale and applies only to the item of equipment to which these conditions of guarantee are attached, or with which these conditions of guarantee are issued.
1.2 This guarantee is not transferable.
1.3 Subject to the exclusions and conditions set out below, Hanson Instruments Ltd guarantees that the item of equipment, subject of the guarantee, will be repaired free of charge, in respect of materials and labour in the event of any component defect becoming apparent during the guarantee period (as defined in the item listing) 1.4 The guarantees period commences on the date of delivery or from midnight on the 2nd day following the date of dispatch whichever is the sooner
1.4 You must decide before buying if the goods are suitable for your needs.
2. Exclusions and Conditions
2.1 Faults or unsatisfactory performance that can be attributable to any of the following are excluded from the Guarantee ;
2.1.1 Those which can be remedied by adjustments by the end user.
2.1.2 Damage to the item of equipment, result of an accident, misuse, physical abuse or Act of God.
2.1.3 Those which are due to fair wear and tear
2.1.4 Failure of bulbs, batteries or fuses
3.1 At the time of sale Hanson Instruments Ltd will have entered the appropriate guarantee details on our warranty validation database thereby avoiding any requirement for end user registration.
3.2 Guarantee extensions or enhancements issued by Hanson Instruments Ltd are covered by these same conditions of guarantee.
4. How to claim
4.1 In the event of a defect becoming apparent with the item of equipment during the guarantee period, you should contact Hanson Instruments Ltd without delay on 01527 501077.
4.2 A guarantee claim will only be entertained if it is notified to Hanson Instruments Ltd within the guarantee period. Any notification made to Hanson Instruments Ltd after the guarantee period has expired will be rejected even if the subject fault occurred during the guarantee period.
5. Prices and Payments
5.1 Hanson Instruments Ltd remain owners of the goods until full payment has been received.
5.2 If incorrect invoice details have been stated and an amendment is required, there will be an administration charge.
6. Delivery/Collection of Items
6.1 There is a charge for all deliveries which will be detailed on the item listing. Please notify in advance if there are any special delivery requirements as there may be an additional charge.
6.2 Where the customer intends to collect goods from Hanson Instruments Ltd this must be done during normal business hours which are Monday to Friday, 0830-1700hrs unless prior arrangement is agreed to in writing by an officer of the company.
6.3 If the goods do not arrive, are incomplete, are the wrong goods or are damaged when you open them, you must contact the Accounts Administration Department within 5 working days of receipt of delivery.
6.4 By the nature of our business Hanson Instruments Ltd will invariably only have one or a finite number of similar items for sale. In the event of an item arriving incomplete, failing to arrive, or where an item is the wrong item or damaged when you open them we will endeavour to replace or repair them for you within a reasonable period of time. In the event that this is not possible we will make a refund to you of all monies paid.
7. Returns and Cancellation
7.1 It is the customer’s responsibility to check the goods on delivery. Hanson Instruments Ltd will only accept return of faulty or damaged goods if notified within 5 working days of delivery.
7.2 If goods are to be returned they must be packed in their original packaging together with all accessories & any mauuals and returned to Hanson Instruments.
8. Guarantee & Guarantee extension
8.1 Where appropriate we reserve the right to charge for call outs if Hanson Instruments Ltd deems that the fault is the result of operator error, accidental or malicious damage, unauthorised repair attempt or failure of a user maintainable part (e.g. bulb, battery, fuse etc.)
8.2 All spare parts whether offered free of charge under contractual obligation or purchased are supplied with either a 3 month guarantee, or a guarantee that extends to the end of the original purchased item guarantee period, whichever is the longest 8.3 Hanson Instruments reserves the right to use serviceable non new parts in free of charge contractual obligation repairs.
8.3 Damage that may arise due to replacing fuses with a higher rating than recommended is not covered by this contract.
8.4 Failure or damage that may arise due to improper or non use of transportation bolts and locking plates when moving equipment is not covered by this contract.
8.5 Failure or damage that may arise due to improper fitment of items purchased under these terms and conditions by the customer or his agent or, the connection or association with incompatible or other faulty equipment by the customer or his agent is not covered by this contract.
8.6 At the commencement of a Software package it may be possible to provide remote access on request. If this is available, we require access to an ‘always on’ broadband connection to the p.c. which the software is installed. This is to be installed and maintained at the user’s expense.
8.7 Users are strongly advised to back-up files for computer supported instruments on a regular basis. In the event of a drive or hard disk failure, we will do our utmost to retrieve the data, but such attempted retrieval is chargeable and is not guaranteed irrespective of the age of the equipment.
8.8 Loading of other software systems alongside Hanson Instruments Ltd supplied software is NOT recommended, and we cannot guarantee the integrity or operational status of the systems if this occurs.
8.9 Any technical support sought from Hanson Instruments by the customer for reconfiguration or incompatibility issues that arise from this practice will be chargeable in advance to the customer and no guarantee can be given that assistance under this clause will result in a succesful outcome.
