Beware Of Rogue Optrafair 2015 Show Guide Adverts

Beware Of Rogue Optrafair 2015 Show Guide Adverts

Organisers of the successful optical show Optrafair are warning clients and potential customers about the recent show guide scam that has become apparent in recent months. Optician and the Federation of Manufacturing Opticians are highlighting that the company that is contacting customers regarding the guide publication listings, has no connection whatsoever to the Optrafair show and could lead those who sign up to it, finding themselves severely dented in the pocket.

Optrafair is the UK's leading optical exhibition since 1978 and is opening its doors again in 2015, in Birmingham, across a three day event with 200 exhibitors, 500 brands and an expected 7000 visitors to the optical show. The forthcoming 2015 event will take place between 18th to the 20th of April next year.

The company that the warning refers to is International Expo-Guide, which is currently contacting exhibitors at Optrafair, offering the option to update and confirm their directory listing for the forthcoming guide. In order to approve the listing, clients are being asked to sign an included document which ties the business unknowingly into a contract which totals almost 4000 euros. The organisers are keen to stress that regardless of what is being offered or suggested, should you be contacted by this company, do not sign anything that is sent to you and instead get in touch with your booking representative at the exhibition.
