A gathering of health professionals, and celebrity faces that have endorsed the eye care brands available at a seasonal showcase of fashion has occurred in London.
The event was hosted by High Street giant Specsavers and it is to become a regular and seasonal fixture in the events diary for the city. It was classed as a mini exhibition rather than a huge expo, and allowed accompanying fashion brands in eye wear and eye care wear to promote products on feature stands and allow them to mix with the press and hold advice talks with the likes of TV personalities like Gok Wan. Firetrap featured heavily at the exhibition as they are an exclusive brand to the high street Opticians, Specsavers, as was Cheap Monday.
The focus was very much on " fashion - forward" over eye health, but there is nothing to say that a pair of peepers can't look good if we are doing everything we should to protect and promote our eye health long term.
