Beginning in October 2011, the British Contact Lens Association are for the very first time allowing non-members of its organisation to take part in its CET workshops. The courses, which up until this year had been restricted to its members only policy, allow practitioners to gain valuable Continuing Optometry Education points.
The October courses cover 4 different dates in across the country as follows:

BCLA Workshop: Successful keratoconus fitting in general practice
6pm - BCLA Office, London - 14th October 2011
BCLA Workshop on Dry Eye
6pm - BCLA Office, London - 18th October 2011
BCLA Workshop: Basic soft toric contact lens fitting
6pm - BCLA Office, London
As usual, members of the BCLA do not have to pay for these workshops. Non-members will be charged £70 to attend, with the added refund benefit if they choose to join the British Contact Lens Association within one month of the event.
