The World Council of Optometry has announced that 24-26 June 2012 will see their next conference, "Advancing Optometry Worldwide" take place in Chicago, parallel to "Optometry's Meeting" by the American Optometric Association.

Held at the Blackstone Renaissance Marriott Hotel, the event is designed for optical professionals from around the globe with the intention to bring companies and manufacturers together with the intention to advance optometry via lectures and workshops. The event will also be an excellent opportunity for businesses of all kinds to mix and network their qualities and abilities.

The workshop element is a new addition to the line up with 'clinics' available to brush up, practice, enhance or even learn new techniques. This will line up alongside the more familiar programme of lectures from eye care expert speakers from around the world.

The new format conference will build on WCO’s global expertise and explore the opportunities and priorities of eyecare worldwide, making this an event not to be missed."
