Eye Show Cancellation Announcement

It has been announced that the three day Eye Show set to take place in London on February 12th to 14th has had to be cancelled.
The show was set to take place at the ExCel Exhibition Centre and was promising the attendance of over one hundred optical companies with large names such as Merad Optics, Inspecs and Cutler & Gross all making a an appearance.

The events director explained that due to financial restraints and then the hopeful rescue from outside investors that then broke down there has been no other choice but to cancel the show.

Many exhibitors will be disappointed at the lack of opportunity the Exhibition would have provided to them within the industry. Though a common problem for practising businesses the missed opportunity to reach new target customers and prospective showcasing of goods and services will impact many of those that were due to attend. It is not yet clear whether stand space fees will be re-imbursed to companies.
The Optrafair Expo  is still taking place from April 13th to the 15th  April at the NEC, Birmingham and companies, large and small, are urged to set this date aside for more marketing opportunity in the UK optical calendar.
