Fun Walk for Sight Loss Research

Nine different charities are making up teams to come together and participate in the Carrots Nightwalk taking place September 20th for the UK Charity Fight for Sight. The charity is known in the field for its concerted efforts and funding for new research in the prevention of eye disease and sight loss.
 Those making up the teams include volunteers from RP Fighting Blindness, International Glaucoma Association, Nystagmus Network, Childhood Eye Cancer Trust, PMRGCAUK (Polymyalgia Rheumatica and Giant Cell Arteritis UK), Birdshot Uveitis Society, Uveitis Information Group, British Thyroid Foundation and the Thyroid Eye Disease Charitable Trust. The charities will also be partnering to fund new research grants. The Further to the walk they are partnering to provide numerous new grants  to fund  research into retinitis pigmentosa, glaucoma, retinoblastoma, uveitis, nystagmus, choroideremia and thyroid eye disease.  Fight for Sight, with the support of each partner organisation, will jointly fund new small grant awards, worth up to £15,000 each. Applications for the research awards will open during the summer.
