UK Benefits from Combined Charity

Eleven new projects in the eye health research field will shortly  benefit from a combined contribution of £160,000 from the charity Fight for Sight who along with nine other charities including, The Childhood Cancer trust, RP Fighting Blindness, International Glaucoma Association, Thyroid eye Disease and Uveitis Information Group ( Scotland), Giant Cell Arteritis UK, British Thyroid Foundation, Birdshot Uveitis Society, Nystagmus Network and Polymyalgia Rheumatica have invested in more research to cover conditions and diseases like thyroid eye disease, nystagmus, giant cell arteritis, glaucoma, retinitis pigmentosa, uveitis and birdshot chorioretinopathy.

Hospitals and UK Universities will be hosts to the groups of research studies, including the Moorfields Eye Hospital. By joining with other charities, they are best able to combine their expertise in each of their designated fields which could prove key to innovative new study results for the UK.
