Bright, High Contrast
The LCD offers a white background with uniform brightness and high clarity chart projection with superb contrast, providing the basis for an accurate examination.
Wide Range of Examination: 0.03 to 2.0
The LCD allows detailed and fine display of small charts up to 2.0. Large chart display such as 0.03 and 0.04 are also possible, eliminating the need for acuity calculations by changing the working distance.
Smart Display Functions
The SC-2000 provides single letter and horizontal/vertical line masks, and is always displayed in the center of the screen. The SC-2000 also incorporates a random chart display facility* to overcome inaccurate measurements caused by the ability of the patient to memorize the charts. * Horizontal line mask only.
Contrast Test
To support patients who have undergone cataract or refractive surgery the SC-2000 has the ability to measure contrast sensitivity at three levels below the normal threshold.
A Variety of Special Charts
The SC-2000 is beyond a normal visual acuity measurement device, and has built-in programmes for binocular vision and other clinically validated tests. The system also has the ability to display images that could also enhance the clinical or commercial environment of the practice.
Selectable Working Distance: 3-6m
7 working distances (3, 3.5, 4, 4.5, 5, 5.5, 6m) are available to suit the layout of the clinic. The SC-2000 chart size automatically calibrates to the chosen working distance.

Not only is the SC-2000 superior in it's clinical performance, it features a cosmetically pleasing and leading edge design being only 38 mm thick and weighing 7.5 kgs.

Bulb exchange is a thing of the past with the SC-2000, and promises a maintenance free life for the user.
System Integration
The SC-2000 can be synchronized with the Smart Refractor RT-5100 for more advanced and smoother examinations. When synchronized, chart changeover is possible using the RT-5100 control box.
