The Concepta Examination System incorporates the most recent technology to bring flexibility and compact design to your office examination room environment. It is a work station designed to efficiently allow the maximum number of examinations in the least amount of space. When combined with the Oculus Keratograph and an integrated PC, it becomes a complete work station for refraction and for fitting contact lenses.
Ergonomics
The Concepta has been developed as a refraction unit without compromise. This means that you have all instruments and information immediately at hand for refraction and topography (if desired) for refractive surgery patient information and for dispensing corrective and contact lenses. A set of measuring lenses can also be stored in a specially provided corrective lens drawer. The input and output units of the PC (optional), the keyboard and the flat screen monitor are swivel mounted to keep them within reach whenever required. The vision tester's support arm automatically lowers into position in front of the patient when desired. The control panel of the computerized vision tester is within easy reach of the examiner on the tabletop.
Economy
The Concepta helps you economize in every way. It requires only a small space in the refraction room - even the PC and the monitor are completely integrated into the compact design. The built in PC is at your disposal as a full-scale work station and gives you access to test subjects even when they were tested at other work stations in your network. The disk drive or CD ROM drive and the interfaces are easy to reach, so that upgrades and other additions to the unit can be carried out with ease. An adapter for the visual acuity chart projector is standard equipment.
Design
The Concepta unites form, function and solid design to a degree unknown before now. The optional metal panel at the front of the main body not only is an attractive design element, but provides protection as well. All of the equipment which is not constantly required - such as the monitor and keyboard, the trial lens case and vision tester - are elegantly integrated, yet immediately and easily accessible when needed. The overall design, from the seat to the unit and the vision tester support arm, represents a unified concept adapted to your own office environment through different seat coverings and wood stains/finishes.
