A fundraiser from the Bank Of Ireland has buddied up with work mates to take a leisurely bicycle ride for 36 miles along the Strawberry Line for the charity Fight for Sight.
Sights they took in included Nailsea, Backwell Station and onto Cheddar. They managed to miss bad weather which came through the are the night before the big push.
Louise Haywood, the organiser for the Strawberry Line had a vested interest in the choice of charity that would benefit as she has a child who is diagnosed with Stargardts disease. The Charity are currently helping to fund for research at The University of Oxford into gene therapy for the condition.
Her workplace have promised to match all monies raised by the group.
