Lazy eye research with kittens

Scientists research and studies about Amblyopia in Canada have discovered that keeing kittens in the darl could help their condition. Kittens suffering from Ambloyopia  or lazy eye found that once the kittens had been in complete darkness, their vision returned to normal after several weeks.  Kevin Duffy who is the co-author of the study said that he and his team had noted thats kittens with an impaired eye did actually have smaller cells connectng that eye to the brain. When the kittems were in the dark, it seemed to change.

Before the testing could be done, researchers needed to close the lip of the lazy eye for a week.  The kittens were kept in a purpose built room with Russian doll like structures.  They were monitred using infa red cameras.  All the kittens were fed and cleaned by the reseachers while the study took place.
