Sight Test Fee’s Increase

A 1% increase for sight tests throughout England and Wales has been confirmed. The fee of £20.70 will rise to £20.90 from April 1st. This increase represents the amount reimbursed to a practice that conduct NHS sight tests.

This announcement was made after voucher values rose by 1% in England. This also coincides with a 2.5% increase to annual CET and pre-reg supervisor grants in England and also Wales.

Both countries will see a hike in the CET grant from £503 to £516. The pre-reg supervisor grant rises from £3245 to £3326.

Practitioners who wish to make a claim should do so between July 1st and October 31st.
