Information ground-laying for this years annual National Eye Week has already begun.
The 2013 National Eye Week will commence on September 16th, and in preparation, a guide has been launched in support of the ‘UK’s biggest celebration of eyes and eye health’.
The awareness week will provide extra opportunities for the message of good eye health care and
" don't forget your eye tests" messages to be promoted across the eye health care industry.The guide books were released at this years Optrafair with the slogan " Your Vision Matters"and can be obtained online direct from www.visionmatters.org.uk.
The mini guide points to free resources that can be used to help make the entire event worthy and inspiring, and inspiration for events themselves to raise awareness. The Vision UK Conference taking place on 11th June will launch the support resources. These include how best to use social media to promote awareness of eye care, which is ever more popular and favoured by many.2012 saw over five hundred organisations join in the awareness week.
